EducateSuccess in Action: Schools and After-school Communities

We believe academic achievement and personal success should be available to every life-learner.

Consider these recent U.S. statistics:

  • 80% of prison inmates are high school dropouts.

  • Almost one third of all public high school students fail to graduate from public high school with their class.

  • Only 6% of students from low-income neighborhoods will earn a college degree from a four-year university.

  • Every nine seconds, another student drops out of school in the U.S. - one million students every year.

A recent report, "The Silent Epidemic - Perspectives of High School Dropouts," stated these key supports to improve this crisis:

  • Make school and curricula more relevant and engaging

  • Get more support from teachers and parents

  • Ensure that students have a strong relationship with at least one adult

The key to breaking negative cycles, overhauling negative belief systems, and preventing students from becoming statistics is models like Educate Success that insist on community collaboration.

At EducateSuccess, we believe in the old African saying, "It takes a village (community) to raise a child." To that end, our school program provides an integrated approach where school staff, parents, and local community life coaches come together to prepare our young people for their futures. Our program is relevant, rigorous, and encouraging - equipping and empowering participants with proven behavioral success tools.

Our passion is to be a part of breaking through global educational disparities in diverse communities.
